Dear Traverse City & NoMI Music Scene:

We at The Jam Files have had a fantastic time writing up your shows, interviewing who we could, taking photos and videos, and of course getting to know you and jamming out to your phenomenal contributions to music. After much deliberation and a lot of “maybe we can still”…, “give it another month”…”let’s see how things look when”…, etc we have reached the sad decision that we can no longer continue with the blog. When Jenn first came up with the idea to start the site, she was in fairly good health and was able to do a lot that she hadn’t been able to do in many years. As some of you may know, she lives with a genetic disorder called Polycystic Kidney Disease and also suffers from Epileptic seizures. PKD is a progressive disease and although there is no “remission” of sorts, this time last year she was feeling well. After many medical incidents she is still trying to maintain her health and unfortunately is still in the midst of a battle with some unexplained symptoms that may or may not be attributed to her current conditions. Not to worry, she is in the middle of testing and in good care. Jackson is her primary caretaker and because he works full time and unfortunately for the past month has been recovering from his own health flare-up, he will be unable to contribute to the site as often as he hoped to. The good news is that although it will take some more time, he is on the mend. We are going to be keeping the blog site up to archive the writing that is currently published and will be popping in randomly on both Facebook and Instagram. We still love live music and seeing what you’re all up to so we’re sure you’ll catch us out and about from time to time. Life is difficult enough trying to balance many things and especially when in ill health so we hope you all understand and forgive us for some of the things we weren’t able to follow through on. Please, please keep up the excellent work you all do and always know you have fans in us. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you so, so much for all of your support and for taking the time to talk to us about your music. We loved every minute of it. We would like to give a special thank you to Rob Dailey for his contributions to our Instagram reels. We would also like to thank all of our guest writers and everyone who helped spread the word about us. We won’t be posting as often as we used to on our social media accounts but you never know when Jackson or Rob will be out and about with their cameras capturing you all doing what you love. Again, thank you so much to all the musicians for being so awesome. Keep rocking. Much love.

Sincerely,

Jackson & Jennifer
